Soledad O'Brien led a conversation with Eve Schaub, the internationally published author of ‘Year of No Garbage’, and Meghan Olson from Ecovative, the leading company in mycelium technology, about the pressing issue of plastic waste. Over 150 members of our community attended this lively discussion, which was followed by an engaging Q & A with the audience.

Eve Schaub, known for her humorous take on sustainability, chronicles her family’s mission to achieve zero waste for the landfill over the course of a year in her book. She is also the author of ‘Year of No Clutter’ and ‘Year of No Sugar’. After our event, Eve wrote a piece for The Washington Post that discusses the importance of recycling plastic.

Meghan serves as the Director of Commercialization at Ecovative, a company dedicated to finding innovative ways to produce everyday goods without relying on plastic, utilizing mycelium technology.
